by Editorial Office

Liquigas-Cannondale’s captain Ivan Basso had a crash yesterday on the roads of USA Pro Cycling Challenge in Colorado. After 20 kms of the third stage, Gunnison-Aspen, the Italian rider crashed and suffered a contusion with twist at the right hand. Initially there are fears for serious injury but, passed the finish line and visited in Aspen Hospital, radiography excluded fractures.
«’m happy to know that my hand isn’t fractured. There is still some pain and we’ll decide in the morning whether I will continue. I would also like to thank the staff at the Aspen Hospital for their great treatment» affirms Basso.
